Blocked right of way

Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9589297.

This right of way has been obstructed for a very long time. The path through is dangerous as the fence has been moved again to force people dangerously close to the river bank. This is illegal, it is a criminal offence and I ask that GCC take the owners of toll house to court if necessary, and to physically move the fence back to allow safe access to the public right of way footpath. Intimidation is also an offence which is what they use their dog for. I see this has been reported to you many times, please advise what action you have taken?

  • This report has now been passed to the Highways team for assessment.

    If repair work is required, it will either be classed as urgent or will be put into a planned programme of works to ensure it is repaired as efficiently as possible.

    In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.

    An update on the issue will be provided.
