Scooters and mopeds using footpaths around Daniels Brook

The narrow alleyways and footpaths going from Bodiam Avenue (opposite Arundel Close) down to and around Daniels Brook are being used by illegal e-scooters and mopeds and have become dangerous for pedestrians with near misses being reported. There is no No Cycling sign at the start of the alleyway on Bodiam Avenue, this would help, as would further signs around the footpaths. There is a wooden bridge with a blind bend just before it, this is very dangerous for pedestrians if scooters or bikes come around at speed. The same applies to the footpaths at the top of Arundel close. Please could you look into improving the signage in these locations?

This report has now been passed to the Highways team for assessment.
If repair work is required, it will either be classed as urgent or will be put into a planned programme of works to ensure it is repaired as efficiently as possible.
In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.
