Two drains are completely blocked just uphill from the last houses . One is almost buried!

Two drains on the lane are totally blocked. I’ve previously been told by Jake in the Highways department that they are unblocked annually. That is definitely not the case. These have not been dealt with for years. You’ll see the resulting surface water in the photo.

We will investigate the issue. If additional clearance work is needed, the local highways team will prioritise the most urgent reports. Where possible, maintenance tasks will be grouped together in a schedule for efficiency.
Sometimes during periods of heavy rain, even a clear gully can be overwhelmed. Usually the water will drain away within an hour.
