Why do you keep closing this down with no further action required?

Reported via mobile in the Road marking white lines or studs category anonymously at 00:07, Sunday 31 May 2026

Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9533128.

Reported several times by various different people. Real problem area. Could you give us all an explanation as to why you close down each report with no action required? Why can’t just put in some arrows and/or write ‘Ring Road’ in the left or right hand lane here. Either is fine. No one cares which.

We are all just asking for a clear definitive direction so that people stop cutting each other up trying to use both lanes to go to the ring road/Costa/BMW.

You have several people mentioning it now, and you keep closing with no further action. Why? Have you driven this road and seen how often people get confused? Have you seen how fast people speed round either trying to make it work or just to prove a point?

It’s baffling you continue to allow the ambiguity here rather than send out a team with some white paint and be done with it.
