Wood post has been hammered into the ground, on the bridleway

Reported via mobile in the Obstruction caused by fence category anonymously at 13:42, Sunday 8 February 2026

Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8866518.

Along the bridleway through this field, there have been two posts added further up and now this single fence post - all exactly on the bridle path. You can go around either side, but this is leaving the bridleway. Unless the landowner is happy for riders to go away from the track and through the field - then by all means, we can ride around.

It’s worth noting last year there was a temporary (but knotted closed) gate put in by the two posts. As well as thin wire fencing and green plastic posts - rendering the path inaccessible. Very dangerous too for those who wouldn’t have seen the wire. It was reported then too.

We love passing through this field, and don’t want to be a nuisance but fear that putting in posts that block the track - are causing issues.
