Large pothole which is getting worse

Reported via desktop in the A pothole in road category anonymously at 11:37, Sunday 8 February 2026

Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8865354.

As you turn into Old Neighbourhood from A419 there is a long deep pothole on the left. There are numerous potholes as you go up Old Neighbourhood to the junction with Abnash and The Frith. This is already a difficult road and the potholes are making it dangerous as people move over to avoid them. The road is not safe for pedestrians so it is not possible to accurately locate and photograph them

Updates

  • Thank you for reporting a pothole.

First, a safety inspector will visit the location to assess whether a repair needs to be completed and plan the work needed. Works are prioritised based on the urgency of the situation. The council aim to repair all significant potholes (more than 4cm deep and 30cm wide) within 28 days.

In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.

We will provide updates about this report.

On our website you can read about five key actions we’re taking to strengthen the county’s roads. Visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/highways/roads/potholes to find out more.

Thank you again for taking the time to report this issue.
