Flooding of B4066, Berkeley side of junction with the A38
Reported via desktop in the The drain is blocked category anonymously at 17:20, Saturday 7 February 2026
Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8862010.
Flooding has happened all winter at this location every time that there has been heavy rain. The pictures are taken with my back to the A38 looking in the direction towards Berkeley with Moles on the right. ///wand.obliging.tabs The ground is higher on the south side of the road and lower on the north side so water drain from left to right in the photos. Note the full ditches on the south side/left and empty ditches on the north/right side. It looks as though there is a blocked culvert here and/or the camber of the road slopes in the wrond direction.

Thank you for reporting a drainage or flooding issue.
We will investigate the issue. If additional clearance work is needed, the local highways team will prioritise the most urgent reports. Where possible, maintenance tasks will be grouped together in a schedule for efficiency.
Sometimes during periods of heavy rain, even a clear gully can be overwhelmed. Usually the water will drain away within an hour.
Every gully or drain the county council is responsible for is cleared at least once each year. Some drains in problem areas are cleared more frequently. You can find out more, including the gully emptying schedule on our website by visiting www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/highways/roads/road-maintenance
If your property is at risk of flooding please see the Flood Guide for advice and support by visiting www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/planning-and-environment/flood-risk-management/flooding-information/flood-guide
If you are driving: please never ignore road closures or enter flood water. This could put you or others in danger and invalidate your insurance.
We will provide updates about this report. Thank you again for taking the time to report this issue.
