Tree is damaged problem

Problem branch on tree - Whilst walking my dog along Reddings Road (The Reddings) I noticed a large branch of a tree that I think may be unsafe. It looks like it has been affected by friction from overhead cables.
The tree itself (a horse chestnut I believe) looks in good condition, but I’m concerned if the branch (which overhangs the road) were to fall on someone it could cause injury. So can someone please arrange to inspect and remove the branch.

This report has now been passed to the Highways team for assessment.
If repair work is required, it will either be classed as urgent or will be put into a planned programme of works to ensure it is repaired as efficiently as possible.
In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.
