Over 1 meter by 1 meter of road surface completely loose

The recent cold weather has caused serious damage to a large section of the road between Stanway Rd and Coberly Road. This section of Whittington Road is extremely dangerous for cyclist and especially in the dark it is impossible to see and avoid the broken road, large pieces of tarmac and deep potholes. I cycle this route regularly and if this isn't repaired I highly suspect someone will fall off or worse have a collision with a vehicle.

Thank you for reporting a pothole.
First, a safety inspector will visit the location to assess whether a repair needs to be completed and plan the work needed. Works are prioritised based on the urgency of the situation. The council aim to repair all significant potholes (more than 4cm deep and 30cm wide) within 28 days.
In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.
