Traffic Island is wider than the road markings
Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8669904.
The traffic island in the centre of the road close to Chapel Hill Day Nursery has a concrete base that is wider than some others (but also the same width as 1 other nearby on this road). The white dashed road markings leading up to this are narrower than the island and hence if you are using these as your guide for positioning on the road you may get very close to or hit the concrete base.
Additionally the road markings are very feint and I think there are no cats-eyes in these.
This traffic island was either modified or newly built as part of the new housing estate adjacent to this within the last year.

In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.
