The gate was tied with a knot we could not undo so I cut it out. But the gate lock area was deliberately infilled with thorny bush offcuts we had to cut out first. It was a deliberate act to prevent access.

Reported via mobile in the Gate is damaged/missing/locked category anonymously at 19:38, Wed 31 December 2025

Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8611509.

The gate that leads out of the field next to the chicken farm was deliberately covered with thorny branches.

  • The gate is still closed with a padlock and chain, meaning that Gloucestershire Way walkers have to climb a 5-bar farm gate, and dogs have to be lifted or jump across. This log appears to have been closed last week. But the photos are from today
