Multiple pot holes if various sizes

Reported via mobile in the A pothole in road category anonymously at 19:05, Sat 13 December 2025

Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8543516.

The road between Pouton and Ampney Crucis us littered with potholes on both carriageways causing the journey to/from Cirencester to be an absolute nightmare and potentially damaging to vehicles....should a motor cyclist hit any if them I really fear for their safety

Updates

  • Thank you for reporting a pothole.

First, a safety inspector will visit the location to assess whether a repair needs to be completed and plan the work needed. Works are prioritised based on the urgency of the situation. The council aim to repair all significant potholes (more than 4cm deep and 30cm wide) within 28 days.

In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.

We will provide updates about this report.

On our website you can read about five key actions we’re taking to strengthen the county’s roads. Visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/highways/roads/potholes to find out more.

Thank you again for taking the time to report this issue.
