Culvert under road blocked causing flooding
Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8524349.
Poplar Gate, Stanley Downton. Issue for several years. Land drains in field to south of the lane drain through culvert and join a ditch to the Frome to north. This is currently blocked under the lane causing fooding. The road is used by Severn Trent lorries to nearby STW causing further damage to the road where fiooded as well.

We will investigate the issue. If additional clearance work is needed, the local highways team will prioritise the most urgent reports. Where possible, maintenance tasks will be grouped together in a schedule for efficiency.
Sometimes during periods of heavy rain, even a clear gully can be overwhelmed. Usually the water will drain away within an hour.
