Very dangerous problems

Reported via desktop in the A pothole in road category anonymously at 19:30, Sun 7 December 2025

Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8513916.

Hi, I have reported this before a few times. This area is getting very dangerous. There is no way of missing them unless you cross the white line and risk hitting another car. it is so dangerous. A good 10 yerds needs to be resurfacing, not patched. it is so bad now. how anyone can say that it is not a problem or can it can wait I do not know. It will not be long now before someone is badly hurt or killed as a result.

Updates

  • Thank you for reporting a pothole.

First, a safety inspector will visit the location to assess whether a repair needs to be completed and plan the work needed. Works are prioritised based on the urgency of the situation. The council aim to repair all significant potholes (more than 4cm deep and 30cm wide) within 28 days.

In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.

We will provide updates about this report.

On our website you can read about five key actions we’re taking to strengthen the county’s roads. Visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/highways/roads/potholes to find out more.
