Parking and Access Issues on Rednock Drive and local roads

Reported via desktop in the Line issue (Parking) category anonymously at 13:22, Thu 13 November 2025

Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8414182.

The white “School – No Parking” road markings on Rednock Drive are faded and are being ignored daily, with vehicles parking on them regularly. This makes access to the school, The Knapp, Windsor Road, and surrounding areas difficult. At this point, Rednock Drive is narrow, and when cars are parked, it becomes a single-lane road. When vehicles occupy the marked no-parking zone, there are no passing places along this 150m stretch. Some drivers refuse to give way, forcing others to reverse up to 150m on a dark, unlit road. With multiple exits from the recreation ground, this creates a hazardous situation for pedestrians and causes daily inconvenience for local residents due to drivers parking where they shouldn’t. The problem has worsened since Rednock School opened its Sports Court to local clubs. These facilities are used most evenings, typically between 6–8 pm, which significantly increases the issue. Please could you review this matter as soon as possible?
