Request for a street light

Reported via mobile in the Street light is permanently out category anonymously at 17:50, Tuesday 4 November 2025

Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8376705.

An email has been sent to both the city council and county council requesting a street light put in the cul-de-sac as there is no lighting here and it's very dark. They both advised to use "Fix My Street" to report this issue. A map has been made so you can see the amount of properties that this affects by not having a street light in place and you can see the amount of properties that will benefit hugely from having a lamp post put in place. People can't see their properties and/or parking spaces. The red dots show where there are street lighting in the area, which doesn't cover this cul-de-sac at all, and the green dot shows the ideal place for a street light to be erected so each property in the blue area will all get the same amount of lighting from a lamp post being put in that place - I'm sure you will agree this is the best location for a new lamp post to be erected as there is also a communal pathway there, so pedestrians will be able to see too. Thank You
