Kerbs are being damaged by construction traffic

Reported via mobile in the Other damage to pavement i.e. cobbles, raised mound/surface category anonymously at 10:41, Friday 10 October 2025

Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8277912.

Whyatt house on mathews way Stroud, gl5 4eb is being demolished. Currently heavyweight trucks full of stone are mounting the kerb all along mathews way to gain acess to the site due to parked cars and bends in the road. This has been happening since the end of August 2025.

My house (no 64) is on a bend and the have to mont the kerb to pass safely, however the kerbs are not designed to have that much heavyweight vechles mounting/diving on them. This is happening daily (Monday to Friday) between 8am and 5pm. This morning so far there has been 8 trucks go by full of demolished debris (8am to 10.30am, I am working from home today).

In the last few weeks I have struggled to get my car on my driveway as the kerb has sunk slightly meaning I am grounding out my car.
