Dangerous traffic on Church Street, Charlton Kings
Reported via mobile in the General road markings, lines and stud issues category anonymously at 21:00, Saturday 13 September 2025
Sent to Gloucestershire County Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8161451.
Church Street, near the Yangtze & Merryfellow pub. The traffic around Charlton kings is absolute carnage due to London Road closure. There is a bottle neck in the area identified and lorries are ignoring the signs saying ‘not suitable’ & using Ch King, Church St and East end Road as a cut through. There are traffic jams, cars and lorries mounting pavements and drivers being aggressive as they are having to wait. There are 3 schools and 2 nurseries in this area and I have seen cars up on the pavement while families are walking on them at school pick up. Cars are speeding too if no jams (!) - this is highly dangerous and the diversion arrangements need to be addressed straight away as it will not be long before an accident will happen here.
