Blocked Grips
Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8075967.
All the grips which divert the water from the road to the ditch and prevent flooding of the houses at the bottom of the lane are blocked. The HGVs run over them and because they are just soil they block up. Rhodri said he would consider putting in a few concrete grips - is that possible or at least can they be re cut before autumn.

We will investigate the issue. If additional clearance work is needed, the local highways team will prioritise the most urgent reports. Where possible, maintenance tasks will be grouped together in a schedule for efficiency.
Sometimes during periods of heavy rain, even a clear gully can be overwhelmed. Usually the water will drain away within an hour.
