Over grown grass verge narrowing cycle path down to one lane
Reported via mobile in the Causing obstruction to pavement/road category anonymously at 20:30, Tue 12 August 2025
Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8016619.
The cycle path from Shelburne Road to the junction of Hatherley Road is poorly maintained with overgrown grass verges narrowing the cycle path down making it difficult for cyclists to pass each other safely. There is damage to the tarmac surface from shallow pot holes and tree roots lifting the tarmac. As a result I have seen cyclists preferring to use the road as a safer option as travelling on the path there is the potential to be thrown off their bike or damage caused to their bike by all the bumps and loose gravel
