Nresolved Road Safety Concern – A419/A429 Roundabout Near Cirencester Office Park (GL7 6JJ)
Reported via desktop in the General road markings, lines and stud issues category anonymously at 09:54, Monday 12 May 2025
Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7554806.
It has come to my attention that this issue has been marked as resolved, yet no changes have been made on site. I must stress that the dangerous conditions remain entirely unaddressed, and the misleading signage and road markings continue to create confusion and risk for road users.
In the past week alone, two more colleagues have experienced near misses at this junction—adding to an already worrying pattern. The confusion over lane usage, particularly where drivers from the right-hand lane cut across those using the left lane to go straight, remains a serious hazard. It is not just affecting employees of the business park but poses a daily risk to all drivers using the roundabout.
I respectfully urge the council to reopen the investigation into this matter and to consider the immediate implementation of improved signage, road markings, and clearer lane guidance to prevent a potentially serious collision.
