Tree is damaged problem

FixMyStreet ref: 7535405.
Email received 29/04/2025 - copy attached. Customer reports that the Silver Birch, situated around the perimeter of the location, require maintenance. Some have fallen down in recent times and they now have safety and damage concerns. They ask to meet with a Tree Officer, as a neighbour has done. Moreover, can Highways confirm whom is responsible if a tree falls and damages property or causes injury.

This report has now been passed to the Highways team for assessment.
If repair work is required, it will either be classed as urgent or will be put into a planned programme of works to ensure it is repaired as efficiently as possible.
In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.
An update on the issue will be provided.

It does not currently meet our criteria for an urgent repair but we will monitor the issue in our routine inspections.
