Surface water drain blocks and floods our garden and yard
Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6802452.
Outside 13&15 court garden, Uley GL11 5AH (which is the rear of our property). We live 17 The Street. . Keeps blocking up and water is cascading down into our garden and flooding our back yard. Severn Trent came to inspect last week as I had reported it them, but told us it was highway’s responsibility to unclock it. This has occurred 3 times this year. Our garden is ruined and because it slopes downwards to our house, it is significant amount of water.

We will investigate the issue. If additional clearance work is needed, the local highways team will prioritise the most urgent reports. Where possible, maintenance tasks will be grouped together in a schedule for efficiency.
Sometimes during periods of heavy rain, even a clear gully can be overwhelmed. Usually the water will drain away within an hour.
