Abandoned roadworks

For the second day running, an abandoned hole with two way temp traffic signals is creating enormous queues in every direction from the site and with knock on effect from adjoining roads up and down Gloucester Road and Lansdown Road. This is a key trunk road. It is not acceptable for this critical blockage to be simply left with nobody working on the site. I assume I am one of hundreds who have already highlighted the issue. The combined financial and hardship cost associated with each individual vehicle affected must run into hundreds of thousands of pounds per day - all spread invisibly across thousands of people - and with no recourse to the company who have created the problem - and who suffer no financial consequences either.
