Loose/rattling cover/ironwork problem

Email received 24/10/2024 - copy attached. Customer reports water that runs down from Timbercombe Lane and off the hill together with fallen leaves and excessive rainfall has been causing numerous problems for Cirencester Road, the stretch outside the Double Tree Hotel. The drains have been cleared but this is only a temporary measure. CBC were coordinating a multi-angled approach to the Timbercombe Hill problem a few years ago. Feedback requested.

This report has now been passed to the Highways team for assessment.
If repair work is required, it will either be classed as urgent or will be put into a planned programme of works to ensure it is repaired as efficiently as possible.
In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.
An update on the issue will be provided.
