Flooded road for weeks - no access to school nearby now
Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6622542.
This flooded section of road has been reported numerous times over numerous weeks. The only action has been for you to display a "flood" sign, then recently close the case whilst it was still flooded. During no point has the water level abated during this time. The road is outside a primary school with numerous parents and staff using the road daily. The other road into school is now I believe starting to flood too today. We have previously had to close the school early due to this. Please prioritise this as a matter of urgency as the alternative route is extremely narrow single track lane for a few miles and not an ideal solution.

We will investigate the issue. If additional clearance work is needed, the local highways team will prioritise the most urgent reports. Where possible, maintenance tasks will be grouped together in a schedule for efficiency.
Sometimes during periods of heavy rain, even a clear gully can be overwhelmed. Usually the water will drain away within an hour.
