Pavement drainage channel rusted through

Reported via desktop in the Other damage to pavement i.e. cobbles, raised mound/surface category by Stephen Chilton at 18:06, Monday 9 September 2024

Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6454467.

Pavement channels for rainwater runoff rusted through outside South View and Laurel Cottage. These have had pedestrian temporary ramps over them since December 2023. Sandbags to hold them down have now disintegrated and loose sand is a hazard. Could we have these channels replaced? Stock item from steel stockholders and not expensive by any means. The temporary covers must have cost more.

  • The drainage channels have now been replaced with concrete grooved slabs. So repair has been completed satisfactorily and will not be a maintenance issue again. Thanks.
