Brambles overhanging pavement
Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6434101.
Brambles are overhanging the pavement between Parklands Orchard and Upton's Garden. This is an ongoing issue, although they have been trimmed before, they grow back within two weeks. The pavement is so narrow in this section that there's no room for buggies without brambles snagging on people’s faces, hair, and clothes. This is particularly dangerous given the proximity to a busy road. Previously, maintenance only trimmed the brambles, but since they grow back so quickly, I am writing to request that they be cut back to the fence. This would widen the pavement and improve safety by reducing the need for frequent trimming. Many people use this pavement on the way to the school, park and shops and it would make a difference. This report has now been passed to the Highways team for assessment.
If repair work is required, it will either be classed as urgent or will be put into a planned programme of works to ensure it is repaired as efficiently as possible.
In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.
