Failure of road surface across road
Reported via iOS in the A pothole in road category anonymously at 11:30, Saturday 20 July 2024
Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6224039.
The concrete subsurface of Reddings Road is failing causing the tarmac above to crack resulting in 'rumble strips' down the road
This is causing SIGNIFICANT noise into my property, endless vibrations through my property causing items on the wall to shake and endless disturbance - this is significantly worsened when buses travel up and down the road at speed
The road needs fixing as a priority, it is an utter disgrace and frankly dangerous

Thank you for reporting a pothole.
First, a safety inspector will visit the location to assess whether a repair needs to be completed and plan the work needed. Works are prioritised based on the urgency of the situation. The council aim to repair all significant potholes (more than 4cm deep and 30cm wide) within 28 days.
In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.
We will provide updates about this report.
On our website you can read about five key actions we’re taking to strengthen the county’s roads. Visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/highways/roads/potholes to find out more.
Thank you again for taking the time to report this issue.

This pothole report has now been passed to the Safety Inspection Team for assessment.
A safety inspector will make an assessment of the work needed and they will consider a number of factors, including the flow of traffic and the size of the pothole.
If repair work is required, the pothole will either be classed as urgent or will be put into a planned programme of works to ensure it is repaired as efficiently as possible. We aim to complete the repair work within 28 days.
In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.
