Loose/rattling cover/ironwork problem
Reported in the Loose/rattling cover/ironwork category by Gloucestershire County Council at 09:56, Thursday 11 July 2024
FixMyStreet ref: 6216896.
After recent heavy rain, we have again had to clear our drains at our site in Woodchester as there is run off of rain water and silt that makes it way into our site, causing dangerous access to the site – Following which a member of our team has sustained minor injuries following the excess silt causing the employee to slip. So this is becoming more of a Health & Safety concern for us know. We maintain our drains on a scheduled rota and have done so very recently but the recent bad weather has caused more issues and the drains have become over whelmed with the silt and debris from the adjacent road and hillsides.
I’d like to know what mitigation and solutions Gloucestershire Highways can put in place to ensure our site is not hit with the run off of rain water during every heavy rain storm?
If anyone there is free for a call to discuss this issue and what solutions can be put in place I’d very much like to arrange a call/site visit asap.
