Multiple pot holes between the junction with Painswick Road and the Miorrisons store. Maybe twenty ? some are 75mm deep,

Reported via desktop in the A pothole in road category by Chris Easton at 12:50, Monday 20 May 2024

Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5996633.

Either side of the carriageway and to both sides of the Doctors Surgery turn off. Cars are swerving to avoid these on a v sharp bend. These have been badly fixed multiple times and many more have appeared. IMO the only viable option is an emergency or super urgent full width strip resurfacing, the whole surface is loose to the sub layer.

Updates

  • Thank you for reporting a pothole.

First, a safety inspector will visit the location to assess whether a repair needs to be completed and plan the work needed. Works are prioritised based on the urgency of the situation. The council aim to repair all significant potholes (more than 4cm deep and 30cm wide) within 28 days.

In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.

We will provide updates about this report.
