Drain under road causing water to run constantly down the road to the junction. This needs URGENT attention. I notice that someone reported it 10/1/24 but nothing has been done despite it being very dangerous and possibly endangering life if pedestrians and car drivers in frosty weather

    We will investigate the issue. If additional clearance work is needed, the local highways team will prioritise the most urgent reports. Where possible, maintenance tasks will be grouped together in a schedule for efficiency.

    Sometimes during periods of heavy rain, even a clear gully can be overwhelmed. Usually the water will drain away within an hour.

    Every gully or drain the county council is responsible for is cleared at least once each year. Some drains in problem areas are cleared more frequently.
