Another ruined path

Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5530812.

This path (bridleway from Gawcombe land to church westcote) has been ruined presumably by the same people who have made a mess of the gawcombe bridleway. Vehicles have been up and down the path making ruts which have caused water to build up and sloppy mud. I used to be able to canter my horse here but we are reduced to a slow, pick your way walk. This path is not designed for vehicles and they have no reason to be driving on it as its a bridleway to Westcote not a byway.

  • This report has now been passed to the Highways team for assessment.

    If repair work is required, it will either be classed as urgent or will be put into a planned programme of works to ensure it is repaired as efficiently as possible.

    In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.

    An update on the issue will be provided.
