Falling tree branches damaged car

Reported via desktop in the Tree causing damage to property category anonymously at 11:55, Friday 12 January 2024

Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5433674.

Relates to enquiry 11446126. On 29 December large branches fell from the large lime tree on the pavement outside 17 Keynsham Road onto my property, damaging the roof of the car in the photos. A telephone report was made at the time with a request for the tree to be checked, as further branches could fall (see previous report from 21 December). The car has since been declared an insurance writeoff. Please provide an update on the enquiry referenced above. This is not the first time branches of this size have fallen, and in summer dead branches can clearly be seen on the tree as they are not in leaf.
