Path misused by unlawful users problem

email rcvd 09.10.23 - I have have a public footpath that runs across my property which is accessible via my driveway.

Users of the footpath who are not local walk into my garden mistaking my back gate for the footpath.

I intend to erect a post with one of the footpath signs with a yellow arrow. Are you able to provide these or do I have to purchase a certain kind myself?

    Should the issue pose an immediate danger to public safety such as:-
    •Objects on the highway network (i.e. a fallen tree)
    •Faulty temporary or permanent traffic lights (i.e. stuck on red)
    •Exposed cables
    •Multiple street lighting faults
    •Flooded roads
    •Potholes over 75mm deep •Manhole/Metal Cover (i.e. missing or dangerous) please call our emergency number 08000 514 514.

    We will provide you with an update within ten working days, however, our aim is to keep you informed of progress within five working days, whenever possible.
