Surface is damaged problem

Reported in the Surface is damaged category by Gloucestershire County Council at 11:58, Mon 9 October 2023

FixMyStreet ref: 5077364.

Reporting:surface_is_damaged
This restricted byway has become deeply rutted apart from the top section where utility companies have needed access. Every winter it becomes virtually impassable to pedestrians. It needs some hardcore or something similar so that its legitimate use by people on horseback does not create problems for all other users.

It is an important route for pedestrians wishing to avoid walking alongside the road up Taits Hill, which has no footway, or using local network of public footpaths and bridleways. It is also a useful shortcut to the industrial estate.

I also note that there is a pile of scrap metal at the bottom of the byway.
